GMZ Hellas Expands Team: Hiring a Designated Person Ashore (DPA)

In line with this vision, GMZ Hellas is now seeking to recruit a Designated Person Ashore (DPA) to join its qualified team in Piraeus, Greece.
The Role
The DPA will play a vital role under the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, acting as the link between ship and shore while ensuring that the Safety Management System (SMS) is effectively implemented and continuously improved. The successful candidate will lead audits, oversee incident investigations, promote a safety-first culture, and ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC, and IMO regulations across the fleet.
Candidate Profile
- Holding a Master or Chief Engineer license (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of shore-based experience as DPA or HSQE Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime safety codes and standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
